Guess How Much I Love You

I love you more, I love you most, I love you best. How do you say “I love you”? This week’s story ends with the iconic words “I love you to the moon and back.” The sweet statement is given to end a story illustrating a creative competition between father and son to love one another “most”.

Guess How Much I Love You is written by Sam McBratney and illustrated by Anita Jeram. It’s a classic bedtime story that would be perfect to pull out this Valentine’s day. Our collection of activities this week includes heart measurement, a VERY cute Valentine’s box idea, and a sweet treat you can make for YOUR valentine. Don’t miss my favorite, a “phases of the moon” demonstration using Oreos. Instead of making a resolution to go running every day (totally unrealistic) I made a resolution to eat Oreos with milk as often as possible (completely realistic). I have a feeling I’m going to have a very successful year.

To engage the 5 senses while reading this book we explored carrots, the classic rabbit snack. See, smell, taste, and touch this orange veggie. And don’t forget to listen to the crunch when you chew!
