Strawberry Planting

Give your child the chance to plant their own strawberry seeds! Do this activity along with reading the book Big, Hungry Bear!

Since this week’s book is The Little Mouse, The Red Ripe Strawberry, and The Big Hungry Bear, we thought it would be the perfect time to pull out our planting sensory box! Fill a tote with planting soil, grab some seeds and this inexpensive mini gardening set, and let the fun begin!

Materials:

  • Tote
  • Planting Soil
  • Seeds (we just used some sesame & pumpkin seeds we had on hand)
  • Kids Gardening Set

To Play:

Fill the tote about halfway with planting soil. Place some seeds in a bowl next to the tote along with the tools for planting.

Fill the watering can with water, and let the gardening commence! Green thumb not required.
