Ribbon Dancing Play

These fun ribbons made a regular appearance with our students. They are fun to make, and fun to play with! Since Silly Sally is always on the move, we thought it would be fun to introduce these ribbons and integrate some ribbon dancing into our day.

Materials:

  • Book Rings
  • Ribbon
  • Optional: String, yarn, & strips of fabric

To Make the Dancing Ribbons:

Tie strips of ribbon to the book rings. Add pieces of string, yarn, or fabric for more texture and personality!

To Play:

Turn on songs that will get the kids dancing. We like to dance to “Happy” and “Better When I’m Dancing“. These two songs bring back so many happy memories.
