Letters on a Broom: Reading Activity with “Room on the Broom”
Here’s a fun little reading activity to go with Room on the Broom. It involves some basic engineering, which is never a bad thing! I made a broom using a paint stick, some twine, glue, and ribbon, and then used letter blocks to make a “tower” to rest it on. Your little one can pick letters and balance them on the broom after giving the letter sound.
Let them build the tower for the broom!
Make it more challenging by building words and then sounding them out.
And most importantly, have a little fun.
