Floating Letters M&M Experiment for “Trick or Pete”
Halloween is looming and I get to share another Halloween book with you: Trick or Pete! I’m starting off this series with a science experiment. Did you know that M&Ms can lose their “M”s? Find out how to do it below!
- Cool Water*
How it’s Done:
Fill a cup with water, then drop in some M&Ms. You want the “M”s to be up so they can float off the surface of the candy and up to the surface of the water. Give it a few minutes for the magic to happen, then watch the “M”s gather on the surface of the water! Pretty cool!
*I found cool water was the most effective. Warm water worked faster, but the “M”s did not come off in full pieces.
Happy Halloween Ya’ll! Keep an eye out for our more Trick or Pete activities coming this week!
