Spooky Letters: Reading with “Trick or Pete”

Hanging Letters Trick or Pete Reading ActivityWe’ve designed this fun, and spooky, letter hunt to do after you read Trick or Pete by Kimberly & James Dean. Hang some letters throughout the room, darken the room if you can, and use a flashlight to find and label the hanging letters! Write words (CVC: Consonant Vowel Consonant OR Sight words) on the cards if your munchkin is already rocking their letters!

What we used:

  • Yarn
  • Tape
  • Plastic Spiders
  • Cardstock
  • Marker
  • Flashlight

To Play:

  1. Create your letter/word cards, fasten a spider and some yarn
  2. Tape your hanging letters all over the room
  3. Darken the room if possible
  4. Have the kiddos use flashlights to spot and read the letter cards!
Thanks for stopping by & Happy Halloween!
